Mike Thomas, the AD that left UC and took over at University of Illinois (fired Ron Zook and Bruce Weber to hire Tim Beckman and John Groce) has been fired.
It's got to be a low point when an AD, who has just fired the head football coach he brought in after firing the previous one (Zook), gets fired by the interim chancelor (because the previous chancelor was fired earlier this year) that has been on the job for less than three months...
but, hey, Welcome to the University of Illinois, where they now have:
- an interim chancellor (head of Champaign-Urbana campus), overseeing
- an interim AD, overseeing
- an interim head football coach
