Didn't intend on posting this because I'm not in the business of trying to bring to light the health issues of 17 year olds for profit, but since another site feels the need to constantly report on things like this it is better that you guys have a full accounting of the facts.

Early on Friday morning during an IMG Academy practice, Malik Barrow tore the ACL in his left knee. He'll be having surgery and will miss the rest of the season. This will not effect his decision to enroll early and the one silver lining in this is that he will be able to work the Ohio State conditioning and medical staff starting in January when he arrives in Columbus.

Malik had been coming on really strong at IMG and was dominating on a national stage. He's a tough kid that played through a torn labrum and floating bone chips in his shoulder last year and he will come out of this one okay as well. I really feel uncomfortable posting the details of a kid's health while he's in high school so I had been sitting on this one since his dad texted me Friday morning. I'd rather have it be reported accurately and fully than have rumors lingering out there if it is going to be reported at all.
