I want to preface this email by stating that nothing is a done deal, but this what ours and other universities are looking at as far academic calendars are concerned.
We are being asked to look at 8-week long semesters. The thought is if we can cover complete courses in a summer term, then we most certainly should be able to in an 8-week format.
I am curious as to how this will affect college sports. I don't understand why we don't consider going to the tried and true 10-week quarter systems, but what do I know?
