Urban Meyer called into 105.7 The Zone with Matt McCoy, Stanley Jackson and William White. I joined about halfway in, but here are a few highlights from what I heard:
- Urban wants to take the Real Life Wednesday program and apply it to the entire athletic department. He says that mostly every top program has now copied OSU and created their own "life after football" pitch for recruiting. But Urban believes that OSU's is still the best (he admits his bias, LOL)
- Urban said he actually just "stepped out of a meeting" about expanding the Real Life Wednesday program. It sounds like this is going to be a major project of his for the upcoming year.
- Urban is going to help roll out an "athletic department-wide" job fair. Last year this was a big event for the football team, and it is now going to be expanded
- Urban "loves" teaching
That is about all I caught, but it was good to hear UFM check in.
