I went to YouTube to search for the next game played by VT after ours, it was an afternoon game at VT against East Carolina who lost their previous game against South Carolina. EC had a veteran QB and an "Air-Raid" type offense, Lincoln Riley was their OC. EC had some tall receivers who could get and hold on to ball. VT's defense seemingly looked like what we faced, Bear defense with blitzing interior linebacker. However, the EC QB was able to get the ball out of his quickly and the tall receivers were able to make the catches.
I didn't watch the whole game whic EC won 28-21, watch basically the first quarter with EC up by two quick touchdowns.
