Serious question here.. could someone please explain to me the definition of "victim shaming"??

I was just listening to 105.7 the zone and Stanley Jackson and his co host (forget his name) interviewed a lady named Brenda who was a victim of sexual assault years ago by some football players. She was raped and according to her account the school officials and community did NOT handle it well. She travels around to different schools bringing awareness Bout sexual assault and DV. Obviously a great thing she is doing!

Anyway, she was commenting about courtney and zach Smith's mother's coming out about Courtney's story being a lie, and she than says (and I'm paraphrasing) "its a shame because her own mother may not even realize that she is victim shaming her own daughter" and I I'm like huh??? How is she "victim shaming" IF.. and I am saying IF.. Courtney's mother and Lynn bruce are telling the truth about her daughter?? If her daughter was lying and plotting all along about this story than doesn't that make her a manipulative and vindictive LIAR, and NOT a victim??

Somebody PLEASE explain to me how that would be "victim shaming" I'll hang up and listen...
