Year in and year out the following occurs.
Bama is picked to win the SEC and be in playoffs. I understand and won’t argue against it.
The SEC is generally viewed as the best conference and one can argue for or against that.
Bama finishes top two in recruiting if not number one every year. No dispute there.
Bama gets a lot of players drafted every year. No dispute there.
Saban viewed as best coach and no doubt lots to support that view.
Ohio State finishes top five recruiting every year.
Ohio State is ranked number one in BIG recruiting every year.
For years BIG viewed as weak.
Ohio State gets a lot of players drafted.
Urban is viewed as at least one of top three coaches.
So if all of the above is correct please explain why the below occurs:
Ohio State is not picked to win division the division every year like Bama is by national media.
Ohio State is not picked to make playoffs every year like Bama is by national media.
Ohio State is picked to be upset but Bama is never picked to be upset by national media.
No way would media not pick Bama to win as media does with Ohio State when talent level
difference is (see Wisconsin as an example) so great.
Now I realize that Bama has made playoffs every year but one must admit they could have
easily not made it a couple years.
I just don’t understand why Bama is always picked and Ohio State isn’t if these points are true!
