So I am finalizing the roster for my upcoming flag football team and we have our same 9 kids returning (6 on 6 league).
I had another dad that had another player to add (turned him down), and another dad from a previous season wanted his son to play (great athlete + this super fast kid he said was untouchable) but they were a package deal...turned him down too (quite reluctantly)
I did not want to have 10 or more kids to give players a lot of PT.
Well, one of my players moms asked me if his son's best friend could play, and listed his name. I politely turned her down for the same reason.
In discussing this with my wife, she said you know who's son that is??? I said, no of course not. Turns out is one of the greatest athletes in OSU history. I just circled circled back to her, and said "sign him up"!
Not gonna say the last name here, but I will welcome all guesses. Haha, thought it was worth sharing
