Why do Democrats always claim Republicans ruined the economy?

In this thread, our astute Liberal posters will do one of two things:

1) they will present a convincing argument with reasoned thought and example on why they claim Republicans ruined the economy...
or...
2) They will avoid this topic like the plague because they know they're wrong.

I safely bet on the second option.
