The prevailing opinion seems to be no. Dinich and Co. are doing their best CNN impression trying to tell people what to think, saying LSU should still be #1 (shocker I know).

My question is, if the ball doesn’t get knocked out of Fields hands at the goal line, and we win by 18, are we even having this discussion? I don’t think so. 18 points over a top 10 team in bad weather is a great win.

Never like to play the game of “what if”, but had Fields been able to extend the ball an extra 3 inches, I think we would be sitting in the pole position after Tuesday night, likely playing Utah, Okla, or someone else, instead of Clemson, who for my money is the 2nd best team in the country right now behind us.
