I thought this was an interesting article in the 9/10/15 Wall Street Journal. The gist is that for the first time ever top QBs are totally unprepared for the pro game. It quotes one OC as saying the "new crop of college QBs were flummoxed by a simple question". The print version of the story has large photos of Bryce Petty, Marcus Mariota, Johnny Manziel, and yes - Tim Tebow.
Personally I couldn't care less about the pro game or college teams preparing QBs for life in the NFL. It is an interesting topic as it pertains to recruiting however, as it sites players being behind due to the "furious tempo with no breaks for huddles", and says that the difference for players "is like going from speed checkers to chess".
Check out the link if you want, it's interesting to think how some coaches who try to run a pro-style offense will try to use this in their recruiting.
