Here's a list of recruits Larry Johnson has recruited to come to Columbus since arriving at Ohio State, chronologically:

1. Darius Slade (2014) - Out-of-state signing day commit from New Jersey who trails only the big 3 of Lewis/Hubbard/Holmes for playing time at DE and was already in the rotation as a RS Frosh.

2. Dre'Mont Jones (2015) - Standout Rivals250 in-state prospect who is very likely going to be in the running for the starting job at 3-tech alongside Landers and possibly Sprinkle for next season. Dominated at the Army Bowl, but has been hurt.

3. Jashon Cornell (2015) - Out-of-state Rivals250 stud who had offers from everybody in the country and was a key part of the 2015 class, helping to recruit guys from all over the country to Ohio State.

4. Joshua Alabi (2015) - A three-star prospect from Michigan's biggest pipeline in Detroit Cass Tech who Ohio State beat out Michigan, Michigan State, and Miami for.

5. Jonathon Cooper (2016) - A dominant Rivals100 defensive end who won the DL MVP at the Five Star Challenge over every other top defensive lineman in America, including Antwuan Jackson, Rashan Gary, and Dexter Lawrence. Has skyrocketed up the rankings this year. Will enroll early.

6. Robert Landers (2015) - As NevadaBuck has attested to, has absolutely shined during his redshirt year at Ohio State and been dominant in bowl practices. Had one of the greatest performances in recent memory in Ohio's DI state title game and looks to have a very bright future.

7. DaVon Hamilton (2015) - A big-bodied kid at DT who hasn't had a chance to show what he has yet. Local three-star prospect, will know more about him as time goes on.

8. Malik Barrow (2016) - Ohio State beat Alabama, Miami, Michigan State, and others for this standout 3-technique defensive tackle prospect. Was absolutely tearing things up to the tune of 3 TFLs and an interception during his first and only full game of his senior season. Very bright future for the four star prospect, will enroll early.

9. Jerron Cage (2017) - Brother of a standout underclassmen at Notre Dame who Ohio State made an early in-state priority and landed at a position of need. Battled through injuries this year, but carried the Winton Woods defense when healthy and was very disruptive. Looks like he's going to grow into a true nose and Notre Dame has been sniffing around to no avail.

10. Nick Bosa (2016) - Do I even need to type anything here?

So forgive if I will scoff a little bit at the "Larry Johnson can't recruit at Ohio State" rhetoric that pops up every time Ohio State loses a defensive tackle who lives 8 hours away to a school in his backyard that had been recruiting him for 3 years.
