This is something now that both @AustinWard and @Birm have at least alluded to, and I think it’s a sentiment worth pushing back on. Are these players going to be better than CJ Stroud? Marvin Harrison Jr.? Jack Sawyer? Caleb Downs? Jeremiah Smith?
Because if they’re not going to be better than those players, some of whom have been regarded as generational talents, then why are we treating this incoming class like they’re Jesus and the 12 apostles? There will surely be some really good players from this class. But Ryan Day has always had good players. The players aren’t really the issue! And it’s not like this is some insane OL/DL haul. The administration should not be making decisions based on a single recruiting class.
