If today the good Lord came to you and said: “Today is your last day. Because you’ve been a great Buckeye fan I’m going to let you relive one Buckeye day before I take you home”. What are you choosing?
I’ve had more than my fair share of great Buckeye days since becoming a fan in my early childhood: Watching them play in the Rose Bowl on TV while at family New Years Day parties in the mid 70’s, attending lots of great Michigan wins including Tressels 2001 “guarantee win” and Gonzo’s catch in 2005, & going on a bunch of fun Bowl game trips and roadies.
If I had to pick one it would be the 2003 Fiesta Natty vs Miami. I’d never tasted a championship at that point. No one gave us a chance. The day partying in Tempe was an absolute blast. And the game itself was the greatest football game Ive ever seen. The party on Mill St after was unbelievable. Man what a day.
