Only got to see four periods so we were pretty limited but still have some stuff to bring from this afternoon's practice session.
- Jalin Marshall, Braxton Miller, Dontre Wilson, and Marshon Lattimore all working on punt returns. Didn't see any issues back there in the few minutes they worked on it.
- Miller working with the WR's as expected and, as expected, looked like a guy still transitioning. You can see the explosiveness and suddenness in his cuts but did drop a couple of balls in drills, will have video of many of his reps to share in a little bit. Michael Thomas really jumped out to me with his size and how effortless everything looked for him.
- As Nevada posted earlier, Johnnie Dixon is full go. Didn't appear to be showing any ill effects from his injuries and looked very smooth going through drills. Loved Johnnie coming out of high school, and I think if you're looking for a breakout player this year, he's as good of a pick as any along with Noah Brown.
- Still loving the depth at defensive end. I know Hubbard and Holmes are getting all of the love, and I expect them to be great players here, but I continue to be impressed with the look of Darius Slade. I think it's going to be hard to keep him off the field in some capacity this year.
