Liberals rely on Politifact for an obvious reason...extreme leftist slant.
When I read their "explanations" for their rulings, I'm often amazed at the bullshit contortions and mental gymnastics this so-called impartial "factfinder" goes through to arrive at a result Liberals will be happy with.
Here's a case in point:
Social media meme says number of unemployed has risen sharply under Barack Obama
The Politifact decision: Pants on Fire.
Let's take a peak at just some of their contortion: The Liberals at Politifact, decided to task themselves with a worthy liberal response to the following " when Obama took office, "2.3 million people were out of work. Five-plus years later, we have 5 million-plus out of work."
Politifact does, in its tortured reasoning, (which apparently, only I read,)... concede that there are statistics that show, " In January 2009, there were 92.4 million Americans who were not employed. By November 2014, there were 101.5 million, an increase of 9.1 million.
(in Politifact's own words) "This comparison shows a growth in non-working Americans, as the meme did, but the numbers are vastly higher than the meme says, so this couldn’t be the source of the statistic."
Did you get that?
Politifact is rating the original statement not only false, but PANTS OF FIRE! FALSE!
Why? because the actual numbers are worse than the numbers originally presented.
