Got into a conversation during the game last night re who are the best schools in BOTH football and basketball, both historically and currently.
This is the impromptu list we came up with -
THE
Michigan
UCLA
Florida
Texas
Wisconsin
MSU
ND
Utah
Oklahoma
Syracuse
WVU
Tennessee
Arizona
BYU
Teams like Oregon and Kentucky are just getting their footing in one sport or the other, so I left them out.
On the flip side, there are teams on that list above that can be wiped off because of recent mediocrity in one sport or the other, or both. Syracuse screams that. So does BYU. ND and WVU probably too. Probably can sweep in Tenn and Arizona, and OU too.
Who do we have left?

To me honest the only team in that group that is remotely close to OSU in both at this time is Michigan. UCLA football has been and is a joke. Florida football is just breathing again and they are so-so in hoops. Texas, ibid.
Honestly, of what's left of that list is dominated by B1G teams in OSU, UM, Wisc, and MSU, and of those, OSU is far and away the most dominant at this time.
What a great time to be a Buckeye gents. Very reasonable shot to pull off a 2007 Florida this year.
