Anyone else here notice the following two rather new strategies of the democratic party lately?

The first one I have noticed is the tendency to deflect all of their historic deficiencies onto conservatives. For instance, everyone knows the Democrats have been historically the party of the beta. Its not even debatable - this is the party of feminism, safe spaces, toxic masculinity, and men wearing dresses. I suppose its become so painful that the only defense left is the "I know you are, but what I am I" defense. Now, if you like Trump, guns, individualism, self reliance, traditional gender roles regarding masculinity and femininity, that's really scary to them so they have to label you with their own label. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is really what they are doing.

Similarly, the since about the late 60s, the dems in this country have made their hay pretty much entirely playing the "victim" card, especially as it applies to identity politics. The poor oppressed blacks, Hispanics, women, gays, transgenders, etc, etc. Its been their calling card for their social change. Of course, in many instances they have had a legitimate ax to grind, but in their blind hatred of a single man, they have successfully diluted and minimized the term by now randomly throwing it at conservatives whenever their arguments fail. Its another thing that of course ridiculous and funny to watch, but it does show how far their party has fallen.

Next, and perhaps much more importantly, while I have pretty much been a libertarian/conservative my whole life, one thing I have always respected about the Democratic Party in this country WAS their strict adherence to the philosophy of "I don't agree with what you say, but I'll fight for your right to say it." They were much more representative of that idea than conservatives for most of my life, and I really respected them for it. In just a few short years, that entire philosophy has been replaced by "If you don't agree with me we will either silence you, shout you down, or label you." They have lost to me what was the single greatest logical rallying cry of the party and replaced it with its opposite, and IMO with predictable results.

With that, they lost the last thing that made that party respectable, and instead have installed their core philosophy and rallying call entirely and completely around the hatred of a single man. Its actually hard for me to conceive of such weak-minded hysteria, but that's exactly what has happened. If the Republican Party of this country ever tried to get me to change my core values completely to just represent hatred of a single individual, I would abandon them so fast your head would spin, but that hasn't happened on the left. IMO this shows what is so dangerous about the left now. Since they have no real core philosophy to use to benchmark their policies, nothing is off the table and all things are ok if they just say they are. Put another way, having your entire world view dictated by the programmed hatred of a single man isn't a philosophy, its a mental illness, and the Democratic Party of this nation is really in need of serious professional help.
