Fourth Wiseman has been in and out of the WHAC since Sunday and he chimed in with this report...
"There is a palpable sense of relief surrounding the team right now in the aftermath of Saturday's shellacking of the Wolverines. Day and the entire staff were in good moods and relaxed heading into the game ---but its even moreso this week.
Day approaching this BIG Championship game as a "reward" for the guys--and they are highlighting the fact that the game will be "fun" and a "showcase" for them. Really giving a lot of the freshman and the guys that don't regularly play a chance to shine in practice this week---as they are clearly going out of their way to rest and rehab the starters who are banged up as always this time of year.
This week's practice is going to have some surprise visitors, some inspirational speeches and more downtime that in last week's run up to "The Game". Feels almost like "bowl prep" and "showtime" moreso that a regular week game prep for sure. Vets will get more downtime than they have in weeks--and the young pups are really getting the opportunity to shine
Day is having so much fun with this team--and this week will be more of that for sure.
