If it was asked, I didn't hear an explanation for going for 1 instead of 2 after the TD putting the buckeyes up 22-21.
On the last possession before Clemson scored the game winner, was the bubble screen to the short side of the field the right call? Had they run it or at least thrown it past the sticks, a first down would have likely won the game.
On that same possession, 4th down, I am kind of surprised Day didn't go for it. I heard his explanation (If we don't get it, they only need a couple of first downs to get into FG range to win the game, our defense had stopped them all night."), but that would have been the perfect time to follow up with "why not go for 2 so a FG would have meant a tie?"
I love coach Day and he has exceeded the expectations of every reasonable Buckeye fan, but he isn't infallible. Just wondering what others may think.
