Buckeyes did a great job of getting out fast. They need to learn to not throttle down to a crawl. This team can play with anyone in the country if they get a DE opposite of Young and a OL that brings it all game.
Big Ten as a whole looked good. Surprised to see Illinois look like a D1 team.
One thing I noticed is the overconfidence of Power 5 teams. OSU wasn’t the only team that went meh for long stretches. FSU and Purdue looked really bad in second half losses as they blew big leads. Don’t know how coaches get kids today to stay focused and hungry.
Speaking of disappointing, Wow Rocky Bottom. They have talent and yet are so far away.
SEC took a few blows the first week, but I’d rather just say welcome back Mack Brown. Great win for the old ball coach.
Clemson isn’t unbeatable. I still think their OL play will be their demise in big games. Hard to replace that DL as well.
Notre Dame is a 9-3 team waiting to happen.
Bama is Bama, they’ll ride through to the playoffs again.
Oklahoma will be the next team to beat with Grinch at DC. Hurts is a hell of a leader, reminds me of Tommy Fraizer. Waiting to see how well he progresses as a passer. I’d love to see Bama vs OU.
Oregon seems to lose the same way every time they play a SEC team. Start out playing great, score early. Then just tire and tap out in the 4th in a disappointing fashion.
LSU could be as good as advertised with Burrow at QB. If someone is going to unseat Bama this is the team.
The state of Florida looked bad as a whole in college football. How can a state with so much talent have so many mediocre teams.
USC has a ton of talent and no QB. Got bless the transfer portal, like OSU, USC lost 3 QBs in the past 2 years.
Lastly I hate to see early season injuries. UC, USC and Bama have gotten hit hard early.
