After what was the greatest season for a quarterback in Ohio State as well as Big Ten history with Dwayne Haskins throwing for nearly 5,000 yards and 50 touchdown passes, it would be unfair to expect that level of production from either quarterback gunning for the starting job next season whether that be redshirt freshman Matthew Baldwin or sophomore quarterback and Georgia transfer Justin Fields. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said that he wants the offense to be as effective as last year, but knows there will be some growing pains for each quarterback in their first seasons, unlike Haskins' dominance which Day called an anomaly from a once in a lifetime talent.
