I have only been able to rewatch the first half of the game. One thing that jumped out at me was the amount of guys that were playing on the defensive line. First off, Bosa was out. That allowed for two guys to get a ton of reps that normally would not have been in there much. Hubbard and Holmes got quality snaps. Now that Joey is back, this can only help. I would think that the OSU staff now has no fear of getting Bosa a breather and getting either of those two in there. You still have Lewis, who to me played like Steve Miller last year. The depth at DE is now ridiculous.

Then you look at DT. Washington was really good. He was held several times with no call. I saw him change the LOS level again and again. VaTech was cutting back off if him because he was penetrating and blowing up blockers. Schutt was Mr. Hustle as you saw on the TD to the FB. He chased him all the way to the endzone. He held ground pretty well which was good to see.

What was really good to see was Joel Hale and Michael Hill getting snaps in the first half and there was no drop off. Then I saw Sprinkle out there. I don't recall seeing Munger, but I thought he got in.

All of this depth, being able to roll guys in there like this, will help down the road. You always WANT to do this, but you need to have players good enough to do it. It appears as if OSU has that now.
