After watching that game, you really have to wonder how much playing on Monday affected them. I have never done it or seen it before. There is even more to it.

1) The game ended close to midnight. Its not like they went to bed and got a good nights sleep and traveled home. I imagine they flew home that night and got in early Tuesday morning.
2) If you have traveled you know you need a days rest to catch up. How much rest do you think you need if you played a football game and then traveled home afterwards?
3) When it comes to practice, they couldn't have done much Tuesday. Then do they go full go on Wednesday? I can't see how. So that leaves one good practice, Thursday, to get everything ready. Friday is a walk through.
4) Football teams are players of habit. When you break up the routine, things do not go well. Ask any coach. Rain. Start of school. Travel. Any of those mess things up a lot. We played a game last week where we had lightening on Friday and it got moved to Saturday morning at 10AM. The other team just did not respond well to it and did not play close to their level. Seen it happen a lot.

What do you guys think?
