Will a 'Super League' blow up global soccer? Here's what we know after bombshell announcement
Twelve top European soccer clubs on Sunday announced their plans to create a new league that could end the sport's global structure as we know it.
12 of the biggest club teams in European (and World) Soccer just announced to break away and start their own 20-Team Super League. If this actually happens it is HUGE and I could see it leading to changes in other leagues/sports...one being the top-80 or so teams in College Football saying "we don't need you NCAA and we're tired of supporting the smaller schools - we're starting our own Conference/League".
This could get very interesting!
