First, I want to thank everyone for the words they shared yesterday in the introduction thread. I am looking forward to this new adventure and while I undoubtably have plenty to learn on the journalism side of things, I am excited to be able to share and discuss everything I have learned while working in the CFB personnel department. Growing up in Ohio, Ohio State has obviously played a big part in my life and I am excited to be able to cover their recruiting efforts. Message boards were also a big part of growing up, in high school and college, I could spend hours on JJHuddle and Rocketcorner (NW Ohio message board). Then when I became a teacher in Urbana, Ohio I really was deep into the Ohio State message boards and then obviously when I made the move to college football, Ohio State and message boards took a bit of a back seat but I still watched from afar and would check in on various message boards (any CFB personnel that says they don't read that stuff, is more than likely lying ha).
I guess I tell you all that, just to let you all know, I get what message board communities and specifically Ohio St are all about. I have a job to do now covering Ohio St recruiting, and I look forward to hopefully bringing you great content and hopefully some new perspective at times. I don't expect us to all agree all the time, and I expect some good back and forth even at times, but I look forward to having fun and helping make this site a special place again like a few of you have mentioned to me.
Enough about all that, excited to officially get started today, if anyone has any questions and or just wants to know about my story, feel free to ask and I will share as much as I can. I still do have many great relationships with staffs in CFB which hopefully I can lean into at times and the biggest thing for me is to respectful to all those relationships as well as respectful to all you here and bring great content.
