While some in-home visits are happening right now, there hasn't been a *ton* of movement in the past couple of days but I do think it is appropriate to sort of go back over things right now as we head into the final few days of the 2019 cycle.

Will start with Enokk Vimahi. The Thursday in-home visit with Ryan Day that we discussed in Sunday's Skull Session did take place. Again, Ohio State would not have made this flight if it felt it was a total shot in the dark. And the people that I've talked to on OSU's end believe there is a chance here. I'm inclined to take The Field which is basically USC and Oklahoma (though Enokk is still listing Notre Dame). I just think Geography and comfort level wins out here with USC, but I think Ohio State has really opened his eyes these past few weeks so we'll see what happens in the next few days as Enokk processes everything.

As for Doug Nester, Ryan Day had his in-home with Doug and family on Wednesday evening and Penn State sent offensive assistants last night (Thursday) as James Franklin had previously used his in-home visit with the four-star Buckeye pledge.

Nobody seems to have a great read on what Doug is going to do. You can make the glass half full argument that he hasn't decommitted or told OSU he's signing elsewhere but on the other hand, Ohio State has been unable to lock things up on two official visits and on the Day in-home visit so there's only so much confidence that can be had on OSU's side of things.

As one source close to Nester put it to me yesterday: "As you know, Doug isn't very outspoken. I really don’t know, what he's going to do. He’s being pulled in a lot of directions."

As of about 2:30 PM this afternoon, the belief is that Nester is going to follow through on the Virginia Tech visit. He has come this far and not budged on things so I guess this makes sense at this point. I still don't have anyone telling me they feel he will end up at VT. I get some OSU and some PSU, but not VT. I think it's going to be a very uneasy few days inside the Woody over this situation.

That leaves Dawand Jones who also made an official visit to Penn State this past weekend, though the visit did not start until Sunday. I still like my pick of Jones to Ohio State but have been told that PSU definitely gave him something to think about.

There's a very real chance that Ohio State will not have ANY answers here until Wednesday when these kids sign. It's looking like Signing Day, February 6th announcements from all three of these guys at this point.

As for the grad-transfer watch. I think Ohio State is pretty well positioned to add Rutgers transfer Jonah Jackson on this visit over the weekend and they really, really need the immediate O-Line help. That is absolutely the biggest concern right now inside the Woody outside of the Fields transfer waiver (which there is a fairly high level of confidence that he'll get it). If Fields is eligible, there is a ton of optimism about this team from the people around the program but everything keeps coming back to the O-Line holding up. Jackson would provide depth, a likely starter on the interior, and maybe most importantly would open up OSU to a couple of different lineup combos based on how spring practice plays out, so the versatility would be as big as anything.

I'm told Ohio State did meet with Tennessee transfer Drew Richmond more than a week ago. I don't think that one is going to go anywhere but we'll see, they've at least taken a look under the hood. At this point, the focus is mostly on the three remaining high school targets and Jackson. They should know all four verdicts by Wednesday so they can react accordingly after all of that is settled.
