Im just not buying the Josh Gattis offensive guru hype. Here’s my reasons.
Don’t think Harbaugh will let him have control for the critical calls and big moments.
He’s never actually been a coordinator or called plays.
He was at best, 3rd on the Bama staff in terms of offensive coordinating/game planing. 4th if you count Saban.
When he was at PSU, just 2 years ago, he was a great recruiter but not viewed as an offensive guru.
Also the dynamic of Harbaugh not wanting to let go, Ed probably thinking he’s smarter than Harbaugh and Gattis and Gattis not actually having called plays before will be very interesting if the O doesn’t excel against good teams.
