How much is a national title worth ($) to a school?

Just curious. I wanted to bring CJ back this year and was told that it's not realistic to "offer" him 20 million for the season.

Seems clear to me this team easily wins a title with CJ as the QB.

So from a financial aspect strictly, how beneficial is it to the university to finish 1st instead of 5th?
