Here is the second of two parts put together by an Oregon writer and posted by someone on free board. Excellent breakdown and explanations of defense strategy vs. the OSU play calling and execution. And based on the replies to Part I let me add these caveats:
- he is NOT blaming the freshmen on the Oregon D
- he does not mention how well the Ohio State defense played and that was the real reason OSU won
- he makes no mention of plays Woody Hayes used to run at OSU
I especially liked the massive amount of credit he have to the OSU execution, as well as the strategy OSU employed in not making and planned adjustment until after the second half started so Oregon couldn't recalibrate at halftime.
