Total team loss with plenty of blame to go around: D for allowing the long TD drive with a minute before halftime and the 90-yd TD drive to make it 21-14; OL for breaking down completely late in the game and WR's for not getting open; special teams for two huge gaffes; coaching for rushing the FG team out there instead of calling TO and getting shit straight.

THAT SAID:

1. It took some freaky things happening to lose that game (not one but TWO special teams gaffes, bad weather YET AGAIN, etc.).

2. Penn State is not a bad team, and Happy Valley at night is one of the toughest environments in the sport.

3. We're still a VERY young team with lots of room for improvement – and Meyer is historically an absolute witch following a loss.

4. Barring what I think is a very unlikely scenario in which Penn State wins out AND Michigan doesn't, we will still control our own destiny based on the B1G rules for a 3-way divisional tie. Win out and beat Michigan and, more than likely, we still get to exactly where we wanted to be.

BOTTOM LINE: We're not as good as we looked our first 4 games, and we're probably not as bad as we looked tonight. We're a young team with TONS of talent and lots of room for improvement, with a resume that will still more than likely allow us to control our own destiny. So let's all R-E-L-A-X just a little.
