Limiting the playoff to 4 teams keeps the regular season GREAT!

The regular season IS the expanded playoff, with 130 or so teams in it. An 8-team playoff would render some of the season's biggest games meaningless.

I do believe that a tweak should be made so that only conference champions can be invited. Twice Alabama didn't win their conference yet won the national championship.
