Mark Pantoni doesn't think college athletes should be paid

Not only do I think this is this a crap take, to post it as Ohio State's recruiting coordinator is not doing the program any favors. Whether you agree with him or not high school kids and their parents are going to see this a lot differently. How do you think parents of top 100 players are going to feel knowing that the guy in charge of recruiting at OSU has this opinion?

Pantoni, if you read this not everyone wants to be Tim Tebow and have their image used for free.

I don't think colleges should just be allowed to pay athletes, but they should be able to receive endorsements and profit from their own image. As a recruiting coordinator to have a public opinion otherwise is completely tone deaf.

I am sure some of you agree with Tebow and Pantoni's take, and while I would strongly disagree with you the issue here is that this could have a negative effect on Ohio State. I cannot fathom why a guy as sharp as him would think it is a good thing to post this.

Here's to hoping he deletes it quickly.
