Eugene Brown III (2020 SG, Decatur, Ga.) is expected to announce his college decision today at Noon on the heels of his visit to Ohio State this weekend. All signs pointing to a commitment for the Buckeyes.
Brown is a fringe top 100 kid, a 3 & D guy right now. He's got to improve on his ball skills and finishing at the rim, but he's one of the best pure shooters in this class and has tremendous potential. I love his body control and the lift he gets on his jumper. He's improved his midrange quite a bit and Ohio State seems to love his potential for further growth. He's not as good as, say, Moses Moody (who the Buckeyes want bad), but he could wind up being just as good or better longer term. Moody seems to be trending to Oregon and Ohio State doesn't want to wait to see if they can sway it back.
