With the news that Braxton is full-time at WR, it really clears up the picture at QB quite a bit. It also makes it possible that all 3 of the guys could see the field a decent amount if they can find a way for Jones and Barrett to get some time at QB.
I still think the one area where Cardale is not quite as effective as JT is on short yardage and goal line. He just isn't as much of a weapon as JT on designed runs or zone read plays, which are devastating in short yardage. Thus, I think it makes sense if Jones win the job to let Barrett come in for short yardage plays where his ability as a runner (and awesome decision making ability on zone read) could be a real weapon.
Plus, it keeps Barrett engaged and helps him remain a key leader on the team. Also keeps Cardale healthy and from having to take extra hits as a runner.
