A little news item from this week that I just saw (maybe it was a headline somewhere else):

CFP Executive Director Bill Hancock (an Oklahoma alum) has announced next season's CFP Selection Committee - people he says "of good judgement". The committee replaces the former Vanderbilt head coach with the former Texas A&M Coach - so the SEC keeps one of its "spots", while the former Central Michigan Head Coach is replaced by....a retired U.S. Army general.

So when Gene Smith leaves the room for Ohio State discussions, who on this list do you see as knowledgeable proponents of the Big Ten? Either Jim Delaney doesn't care or has checked out to retirement...
  • Rob Mullens, Oregon AD (and selection committee chair)
  • Paola Boivin, Arizona State professor
  • Scott Stricklin, Florida AD
  • Todd Stansbury, Georgia Tech AD
  • Gene Smith, Ohio State AD
  • Ken Hatfield, former FBS head coach (Air Force, Arkansas, Clemson & Rice)
  • Joe Castiglione, Oklahoma AD
  • Frank Beamer, former Virginia Tech head coach (Beamer also has to step out when the room discusses Oklahoma, where his son Shane is Assistant Head Coach)
  • Chris Howard, Robert Morris University president
  • Ronnie Lott, former USC running back
  • R.C. Slocum, former Texas A&M head coach
  • Terry Mohajir, Arkansas State athletic director
  • Gen. Roy Odierno, former Chief of Staff, U.S. Army
