Notes and observations from Ohio State's practice this morning:
- Redshirt junior defensive tackle Robert Landers appeared in crutches, out with an apparent lower-body injury.
- Junior receiver C.J. Saunders and redshirt junior K.J. Hill were the primary punt returners, with freshman Jaelen Gill also standing in that group.
- Freshman corner Marcus Hooker sported an orange non-contact jersey, so did sophomore Marcus Williamson.
- Starting secondary in DB drills (minus injured junior safety Jordan Fuller): Sophomore corner Jeffrey Okudah, redshirt junior corner Damon Arnette, redshirt freshman safety Shaun Wade, sophomore safety Isaiah Pryor. Sophomore Brendon White worked with linebackers during this phase of practice.
- Coaches Jeff Hafley and Matt Barnes worked with DBs, Greg Mattison helped with linebackers.
- Freshman Master Teague is currently the backup running back to sophomore J.K. Dobbins.
- Williamson and freshman corner Cameron Brown both intercepted passes in seven-on-seven.
- Same offensive line as Wednesday: Alabi-Cupp-Myers-Davis-Bowen
- Freshman safety Josh Proctor became the only defensive back to intercept a pass during receiver-DB one-on-ones.
- Junior receiver Binjimen Victor looked strong, going overtop Okudah for a great catch in one-on-ones.
