Last spring, there were a lot of us saying that the focus on the O-line and the kicking game was not good enough and would come back to bite us. I was shocked that an all-american kicker from in the state would go to another team and not OSU. Day's transition from 'Passing-Game Coach' to Head Coach has been incomplete. I think we showed signs of progress this year with hiring Chip Kelly and Day focusing more on special teams but we failed the final exam. We knew the offense line and kicker were 'C+' going into the year. Should have been addressed in terms of players and coaching last spring. Don't understand how you could bring Frye back after the Cotton Bowl performance. Don't see how you don't get more help for the O-line and a better kicker.
