As most of you know I work a rotational position as a helicopter pilot in the wire environment, I reside in the state of NC and work approximately 200 days a year in other states.

Last year I spent 197 days in PA and WY paying state taxes in Pa. ( none due WY ) no state tax.

NC does not have a reciprocal agreement with any state- But, it doesn't need to for you to claim non resident and resident.

The question. I paid state taxes in Pa to the amount of 4000 and NC says I have to pay them monies for state taxes.

I paid thousands of dollars to NC in property tax, car tax.... etc. My registration property tax on my BMW was 691.00 (unbelievable I know)(.

How is this legal to be hit with being double dipped (screwed) on state taxes??

Thank you for any help or suggestions.
