OL Recruiting is a philosophical problem - not a Frye problem

I know everyone wants to run Frye out of town with a pitchfork, so this won't be popular, but I really think it's true.

NIL is the biggest determining factor in which schools guys pick. The position coach isn't pulling money out of his own pocket. If a position coach doesn't have the financial support to recruit the players he needs, then that isn't the position coach's fault. What is he supposed to do? The coach can send as much "love" as possible, send texts, make calls, walk the hallways, etc, but it doesn't matter if he doesn't have the financial backing to land that player. Until the program changes how it views OL, this won't change. It isn't Frye's fault he can't outbid Oregon, Auburn, or others. It's out of his hands.

Frye: I've got 4 star OOS OT who bleeds scarlet and gray. He wants to be a Buckeye.
Day: Great! How much?
Frye: $xxxx
Day: Sorry. We can't give you that money. We prioritize WR and CB.
Frye: I've worked really hard for 3 years to build the relationship. He'll be an impact player in 2-3 years.
Day: Sorry. Coach up the guys you have.
