Given this, did the OSU defense underachieve in 2015? OSU finished the season 8th in S&P+ defensive rankings. Yet with a defense with that level of talent, wouldn't you expect a more dominant defense, similar to the Denver Broncos this season?
A lot of focus after the MSU loss was on the offense, and rightly so. But the defense also deserves its share of blame for rendering 17 points (without the help of any turnovers) to a team with a backup quarterback in those conditions.
