I have a super sweet black lab mix who is 2.5 years old. Last night, he came in to the house after using the potty and he was walking like a drunk person. Could not hold his weight and was sliding around on the bathroom floor. after about a minute, he hobbled to the living area and laid on his side. his body, legs in particular were shaking. His eyes looked to be glazed over as well. He stayed that way for about a minute or so. He then labored his way farther into the living room and was lying flat on his belly with still some tremors. After about another minute, he jumped up and grab his toy to play with me. He limped slightly still, but everything else appeared to be normal afterwards. He was acting normally when I left for work this morning as well.

So, for dog owners out there: does this sound like he had a seizure? He's 2.5 years old and to my knowledge, this was the first incident last night. I don't know if he's had another when I've been gone to work.

Also, it may be unrelated, but last month he was limping and kept lifting up with back, right leg. He limped that way for about a week and then everything looked fine. In our walks, I've noticed that he is not putting all the weight on this back leg, but he seems to have compensated and is walking ok. Again, I have no idea if this condition is related to the event last night or not.

What is possibly going on? I'm a rookie at raising a dog. He's been the best dog anyone could ask for. He's a VERY good dog and so sweet ( and cute too).

Should I schedule a vet appointment or monitor his status for a couple days, first?

Thanks for your help
