4 year old Siberian Husky. To say my girlfriend and I are crushed is an understatement.
I had posted months back about anyone dealing with dogs with seizures. Mine was on about 13 pills a day and nothing was working.
Got to a point where he was having violent seizures even with all the medications he was on. And last Tuesday it was happening about every hour. We took him to the ER vet and they kept him for 2 days and got him to not have a seizure for 24 hours. And they added yet another medication.
We brought him back home and it continued to happen later that night so we took him back the next day and had to make the excruciating call. It was clearly taking a toll on him and us.
We both held him while they put him down and he went in peace.
I know there is a lot going on right now so if this feels inappropriate feel free to move or delete. We don't have kids so he meant everything to us and it's been terrible. I would just say appreciate your pets because you just never know when you have to make a tough call.
Hope everyone else is doing well with everything going on and I'm sure there are people who have a lot more serious issues right now then I do. But just had to vet a little.
