Fernando Alonso entering this race has to be the biggest (non-death related) story in international motorsports in my lifetime (35 years). Will he win the race? I think he has a great shot and has to be a favorite. Vegas has him as the favorite last I heard but I think his popularity is skewing the number.
My pick is Scott Dixon from P1. A four-time champ and a former 500 winner is having a great year and I don't think his racecraft has ever been better.
The other major story is the Honda engine. It is better than the Chevy but has been failing throughout the month. Hinch just lost an engine today. I could see some old school heaetbreak late in the race with another failure.
