Thought I would ask for some advice from the Board. I introduced the game of golf to my son four years ago and he is hooked. Absolutely loves it and we play 3-4 times a month. It's a good father-son bonding time. I thought it would be kind of cool to take him to see an actual golf tournament with some relatively well known players. I wanted to take him to the Memorial but I see that only weekly badges are sold for $185. That would be fine but I only plan on going one day and I am not sure that I want to fork over that much cash for just one day. Especially since it will probably be a small fortune paying for lunch and supper while I am there. My son would be free since he is 18 and under.
They have practice round tickets for $35, which is more appealing to this cheap old bastard. My question is, what is a practice round for these guys? Do they play all 18 holes? Is it just like the regular rounds (Th-Sun) just without the scoring? Is it worth attending one of these practice rounds or would it be a waste of time? Like AI used to say, "We're talking about practice man, just practice!"
Any advice would be appreciated.
