The Blackhawks starting goalie for the night gets hurt shortly before the game, so to have a backup goalie for the game, they call up a 36-year-old accountant who last played competitive hockey nearly 15 years ago at Western Michigan, who plays mens’ league hockey at the Blackhawks practice rink.
14 minutes left in the third with a 6-2 lead, their goalie gets hurt, and in comes Scott Foster the accountant. He comes in and stops all 7 shots he faces as the fans lose it. Awesome story for him to tell people the rest of his life.
