In this slow time with no sports, wanted to see if I could get some thoughts and feedback on those with a tankless water heater and how they like it compared to their old tank heaters.
We are going on our 2nd year in our home and the previous owners decided to go the cheaper route with an electric water heater. It's getting to the point where I'm having the change the elements every few months due to some relatively hard water which I also need to look into Hauge as well to soften this water up!
Few questions
1. Was it worth the investment?
2. Would you recommend it or would you keep your old tank heater?
3. Do you experience any "cold water sandwiches" whereas you'll have hot, hot, hot water and then out of nowhere, COLD water then back to hot water again?
We're thinking about going the simpler route and getting a gas tank unit - OR - the cheapest route just replacing the electric tank with a new electric tank and getting our water softened to prevent the issues we're dealing with now.
