Hey all wanted to start this as my family got the crappy news this morning that my wife was being laid off (along with 40% of her company) due to what’s going on and the state of business.
I start this thread, not as a call for sympathy, but to spark a discussion and get Buckeyes helping a Buckeyes, knowing that millions in America are going through the same thing right now.
So I encourage everyone who may be going through the same thing or knows someone who is to post here and see how we can help. I know it’s a rough time for people to be hiring but there are companies who are doing so or who are looking for freelancers, etc. which can help people get through this tough time.
I start with asking about my wife for anyone who may know of someone hiring in any capacity in NYC or NJ. She has 10+ years experience in fashion PR/consulting and has worked with large scale events (such as NY Fashion Week) as well as large scale clients (Heidi Klum, The Kardashians, Lands End, ALEX AND ANI, etc.). I think she’d be open to a variety of opportunities, even if they fall outside the world of fashion.
