My daughter and I have been planning to make the trek to Evanston for the Friday night match up on Oct. 18 and in past seasons I've always purchased NU tix from their ticket site. This year the purple cats threw a wrench in the plan and require (only for the Buckeye game) that non season ticket holders must buy a season pkg to get the Ohio State ticket. I checked the after market and they are up around $170-$200 right now. I have a friend who is a Northwestern football alum. He never played, though but stayed on a medical scholarship, due to a basketball injury late in the HS basketball season that blew out his knee. That was wonderful for him they still honored his scholarship and allowed him to get his degree.

So I contacted him and today he connected me with one of his teammates, Patrick, who was Captain in 02 and 03. Patrick was able to purchase 2 tix for me at face. YAY NORTHWESTERN!!!! But he warned me if Ohio State wins he will never get tickets for me again. Haha.

Sooo..if you are considering going to this game he did say that pretty soon the tickets will be open up to the general public. Sections that have tickets left are in the end zone corner on the side of the visitor's tunnel, a couple sections in the upper deck and a couple sections on the visitors side that go beyond the endzone, so they probably aren't great. That's where the visitors section is, though.

Go Bucks!!!
