The We Would've Won If list:
...Justin Fields was healthy enough to run the ball like Trevor Lawrence did
...JK Dobbins didnt get injured
...Blake Haubeil was kicking PATs instead FGs in the red zone
...the refs knew what the word, indisputable, meant
...if the stupid targeting rule wasn't applied so unpredictably (plenty of helmet-to-helmet hits every game go uncalled)
...if we didn't extend a couple Clemson drives with stupid penalties
...JK made those two catches
...if we weren't out there playing with roller skates on our feet (notice the Tigers were able make sharp cuts without slipping)
It was perfect storm of horrible officiating, not capitalizing on our opportunities, and Clemson being able to get a big play when they needed one. I will remember the season as bittersweet because of the talent and success we had in addition to the what-ifs.
Going forward I think Teague will improve and be very solid for us--if unspectacular. We will also get improvement from some others (Proctor, Jameson Williams, Browning, Hilliard/Mitchell, the remaining DEs, Crowley, etc). Remember that before this year Dobbins was not the player he is now.
